Hockey Basement

A hockey shooting range was added to this basement space to give BHI one of its most unique and fun projects yet 🏒 🥅
“Practice your shot and you will score more goals” is the phrase just about every kid hears growing up playing hockey, and it is even more true today as it was back when I was a kid.
What used to be a simple open area in this basement is now converted into every young hockey players dream, a shooting range. This reno was quick and straight to the point, which was installing the plexiglass panels over every inch of wall. The plexiglass is utilized for both protecting the walls against holes from pucks and sticks, while also giving it the very realistic look of a basement hockey rink. Added motivation for these little athletes to perfect they’re shots comes from the light up targets on the net which are based on a points system linked to a timer.
This definitly is not one of those projects you see everyday, and it really brought the inner kid out in myself to see the finished product. Hours of target practice and mini stick games with friends would have been spent down here, and the lucky young hockey players in this home are sure to be making those same memories on their way to the big leagues.
A very different and fun project to have completed, that I admittedly wish was in my own basement as a kid growing up!
