This master bathroom finally lived up to its full potential by upgrading this walk-in shower. Sleek large format tile and modern fixtures now mesh with the new focal point within this bathroom instead of clashing with it.
Confined and moldy shower enclosure out - in with clean textured tile, and a spacious feel unified with the full bathroom area.
The homeowner made a great choice in selecting this tile, deciding to play off of the already existing textured wave tile that had been installed as an accent wall within the jacuzzi tub beside the shower. Going a little darker, while still staying within the neutral color scheme, the hexagonal floor tile was another great choice to add some contrast. Custom quartz curb sills and bench top were selected to provide some great one-piece finished surfaces that featured only a subtle amount of veining to not appear too busy.
Given the desire for a sizeable shower bench, the foot print of this shower received an increase to maximize the standing area inside while also not encroaching on the appropriate widths needed around the toilet and walking route in front of the vanity.
A recessed shower shelf niche was added for cleansing product storage, and the custom glass enclosure was kept short of the ceiling in order to promote the evacuation of steam to the ceiling fan when using the shower.
